They had a hard day at school and on the way back home they didn’t talk that much. Everything was fine till they walked into their rooms. Both girls screamed when they saw blood all over the walls in their rooms. They ran out to their neighbors telling them what had happened. They were nice and invited them to stay till their father arrives. They sat down in the kitchen and called their father who drove home immediately. When he arrived the first thing, he did was go to the neighbors to see if his daughters were okay. Then the little family went back to their house to see what was going on. Their dad was a policeman, so he knew what blood looked like and when he looked at the blood in the sisters’ rooms, he realized that it was just ketchup. 

They suddenly heard something moving downstairs in the kitchen. As quietly as they could they went downstairs to see what was going on, but when they<br/>tiptoed into the kitchen, they just saw the open fridge. In the fridge there was an empty ketchup bottle.

From this day on the sisters started to move on. They moved away form their town to a big city. They didn’t forget about David and their past, but they didn’t talk about it anymore.

Till suddenly, after 5 Years, when they were sitting in Sara’s new room, talking, they heard a very well-known loud knock sign … 

The next day they woke up very annoyed. Lucky for them, that day they only had school till 11 o’clock. They talked about the last night and shared their thoughts with each other, but they came up with no idea why she would leave them without a word. For the first time since they talked to the ghost they started to doubt if this was real. For a minute they wanted to tell their father everything but then they decided that was not a good idea, and both laughed about this silly suggestion. 

At home they decided to go upstairs and check if she had maybe come back. They went into the room and Anna asked bravely “Mom are you here? Give us a hint where you are. We miss you.” As nothing came back, they decided to give up. Anna went back to her room and because they wanted to go eat at a fancy restaurant later, they wanted to dress up a bit.

It was a stormy night, and the full moon was shining brightly. The sisters both tried to sleep but after that nerve wracking day they just couldn’t. The girls suddenly heard a loud knock. Their rooms were next to each other so both heard it. And again, there was an even louder knock than the one before. And as if it was not enough they all of a sudden heard many knocks one after the other. Some very loud, some so silent that you must be very quiet to hear them. Anna got so scared that she went to Sara’s room and asked her sister if they could share a bed for tonight. When Sara agreed, they went back to bed and lay down next to each other. During the night the knocks wouldn’t stop so the girls decided to try to sleep

On one stormy and snowy evening, lightening was flashing trough the sky. Huge snowflakes were falling on the ground. Normally all the birds are away in such a stormy night but this night ravens were screeching loudly. It was a scary atmosphere when a lightning struck the neighbor’s house. In the neighbor’s&nbsp; house all the lights went out. Because the girls’ light stayed on, their father invited the neighbors over. David and his parents came over and they made tea and cookies. It was a nice evening, but the girls missed their mother so much that they said they were tired and went up to Sara’s room. They waited and waited but also after a few hours they couldn’t hear a knock. They were very disappointed and just tried to sleep. But in their heads there where many questions. Is mom angry at us? Why isn’t she here? Did she run away?

When the police arrived together with their father, they told them everything. They thought their dad would be mad, but he and his team just went inside. Half an hour later they came back, with David! When they asked him why he had done these things he started to explain.

He explained that he wanted revenge because the girls didn’t like him. For every normal human being this was no reason to do these things, but he also was the boy who liked to kill animals, he was really a strange type. When his parents told him about the girls’ miserable situation, he came up with the idea to torture them. He found out that in the house where they lived there was a 30-centimeter-thick space between the walls, so he made a hole in the wall and when the girls were not at home he went into the house and started to explore and found the wedding dress and the wig. He also made the knock signs and one day he decided to put ketchup on the wall to scare them. He had so much fun doing these things.. David wanted to see their faces when they saw him in the dress. When they asked him why he wanted to kill them, he didn’t answer anymore and just stepped into the police car. 

The wind was whistling through one opened window. The candles were casting shadows on the wall and outside the house ravens were screeching. The girls sat down, looked deep into each other’s eyes, and put their hands on the board. “Mom? Can you hear us? Give us a sign!”, Sara said. Suddenly their hands started to move, and both looked at the board excitedly waiting for their mother to answer. But then they heard their father open the door. “Girls! I’m home!” They got scared, because they knew their father wouldn’t &nbsp;like it when he realized what they were doing. As fast as they could they tried to clean up everything so he wouldn’t notice what they were doing. Then they went upstairs to greet their father.

The father was very angry. He knew the girls&nbsp;had&nbsp;tried to talk to their&nbsp;mother,&nbsp;but&nbsp;he didn’t say anything because he didn’t&nbsp;want&nbsp;to&nbsp;be mean. “I know it was you girls!&nbsp;I understand you&nbsp;are having&nbsp;a hard&nbsp;time,&nbsp;but this is no&nbsp;excuse to put ketchup&nbsp;on&nbsp;the walls!&nbsp;Do you know how much it costs&nbsp;to clean everything up?!&nbsp;If you want something just say&nbsp;it!”, their dad shouted. The girls felt totally misunderstood and not taken seriously.

The next day the girls were happier than ever since their mother’s death. Even their father was wondering why they were so happy, but he didn’t ask and was just happy that they were happy. The only thing that was strange was that the girls didn’t want to come out of Sara’s room. Their dad kept trying to get them out of the room, but they wanted to stay in there. 

The next few days they were always sleeping together and asking their mother questions about her and her death. Every night they just stayed in their bed till they heard the knock signs, then they knew their mom was here. Then they started asking lots of questions and their mom always answered till they fell asleep.

He made them clean up everything till late in the night. When they went to bed the knock suddenly appeared again. Because they both were scared, they decided to sleep together again. They talked till late in the night, about their mother, the knocks, and the “ghost”. Then they came up with an idea. Maybe their mom’s ghost was knocking? That thought made them curious and they decided to check if it’was true. "Mom? Is that you? Can you knock once if you are our mom and twice if you are another ghost.” Sara asked bravely. The ghost knocked once. 

On one day the sisters decided to try to talk to their mother’s ghost. So, they started to take lots of &nbsp;candles down to the basement. They made a big circle out of these candles so they could sit in the circle. 

Anna went to a closet in the big room . When she opened the closet door, a big white thing covered her. She screamed and her sister ran to help her but then they realized that it was just the old wedding dress and a wig of her mom. They put it back in the closet and took the Ouija board out. Everything was ready to summon their mom’s soul to talk to her. 

&nbsp;Suddenly as Sara opened her closet something white jumped towards her. She screamed, and Anna ran to her to see what was going on. When she came into the room, she saw… David? He was wearing the wig and their mother’s&nbsp;old wedding dress. Where did he find these things? And like this wasn’t scary at all he was holding an axe in his hand. Sara was lying on the floor crying, when Sara saw her sister, she jumped up and ran towards her, but David grabbed her one arm and pulled her back on the floor. “Go call the police Anna!” Sara screamed. Anna grabbed her phone and called the police. While she was talking to the police Sara tried to get free. They both ran out of the house and locked the door behind them. Hoping he couldn’t get out of the house. 

When they woke up on the next day both sisters were not rested and wanted to skip school, but their father didn’t allow them to stay at home. So, they went to school. On the way they met David their neighbor’s son. They didn’t like him because he was a bit strange. He liked to kill dogs he found alone on the street and other animals. So, they didn’t talk to him.

This story is about two girls, an older one named Sara and<br/>her younger sister named Anna. Their beloved mother had died two years ago. Their father was a policeman who worked hard to make his daughters happy, but they refused to move on.

They lived in their old, a maybe a bit scary, house with group of forest trees in the garden. Some of the windows at their house were boarded up because the top floor was so old that the whole house would break down. Like always in an old house there was a little space between the walls, but at this point the children didn’t know what or who was living between their walls.
