The Neighbor

It was a cold and dark night in October. It was a full moon. The wind was whistling through the trees. Kevin and Tobias were at Kevin’s home. They talked about going to the cinema with some other friends later.

Suddenly they heard footsteps, so they went downstairs to see what happened. They saw their neighbor’s door was open and the light was on. Kevin and Tobias were scared because the neighbor had said that he was not at home. They asked, "Peter are you here?" Peter was the neighbor. No answer! They went quietly into the house and looked for Peter. They thought that thieves were in the house.

Suddenly they heard footsteps, so they went downstairs to see what happened. They saw their neighbor’s door was open and the light was on. Kevin and Tobias were scared because the neighbor had said that he was not at home. They asked, "Peter are you here?" Peter was the neighbor. No answer! They went quietly into the house and looked for Peter. They thought that thieves were in the house.

 Kevin and Tobias saw that a window was open, and it sounded like the wind was whispering a secret into their ears. They saw that a man was on the roof and the man jumped onto the street. Kevin and Tobias thought that the man was the thief, but they didn't know if they should follow him or call the police.

They decided to follow the man they ran down the staircase and ran after the man. They saw that the man went into a dark alley. Tobi and Kevin decided that it was too dangerous, and they called the police. It was a dead end so the thief couldn't get out. The police did an announcement. After a while, when no one came out, the police went into the dark alley.

 Tobi and Kevin only heard some sounds and didn’t see anything, but the police came out with the man. The boys were scared; it was the neighbor. Kevin and Tobias had so many questions, about why he was doing all this. They were not even sure if it really was Peter.
After a while Peter enlightened everyone. He said that he wanted to do a prank and so he had told them that he wasn't at home. But he hadn't thought it would escalate so hard.
Tobi and Kevin laughed and they were relieved. Peter, Kevin and Tobias were still talking about this a long time later. It was a crazy night. The police understood this, and Peter didn’t have to go to the police station.
