The ‘Esther Song’
This is my first art piece that I made through Sketches Pro. I made the ‘Esther’ by drawing my name in a bubble letter cursive font. I then filled it in roughly using the air brush tool using a rainbow color pattern, and then wrote my ‘Esther’ in cursive inside the bubble outline with the eraser tool to give it the illusion that it was glowing. For the ‘song’ part of this art piece, I used my normal handwriting and then outlined the word with the bubble letter font, and than filled it with patterns. The ‘S’ is supposed to look like the sea, the ‘O’ has a watermelon pattern, the ‘N’ has some polka dots, and the ‘G’ has a patch work pattern. I wanted my first name and my last name’s designs to look different to represent the fact that I’m different from when I’m representing my family name, and when I’m representing my own name.
‘Feelings Emoji’
‘Feelings Emoji’
This art piece is called the ‘Feelings Emoji’. I named it this way because in this assignment, you had to draw an emoji that represented what you were feeling in that moment, and I was feeling pretty happy that day. The skills that I learned while drawing this art piece, was specifically blending. I had to blend a lot for this art piece because the shadings of the emojis were very obvious. It had a darker shading on the outline, and a brighter shading on the forehead. I also had to blend in the blush on the emoji. I used the blending tool in sketches pro, which made the whole process a lot easier. Overall, I feel very proud of this art piece, because it looks almost identical to the one you can type.
The Love Bot
The Love Bot
This drawing is called ‘The Love Bot’. I made this using the lines setting of the rulers tool on sketches pro. I also used the watercolor and blending tool to shade the robot a bit. The skills I learned while making this art piece are drawing 3D shapes, shading, and blending. The robot is pink because I wanted to further represent the fact that it was a romantic robot, and I added an ‘I ❤️ U’ message on to the screen of the robot. I used a dot setting on the pen tool to make the words look more pixelated, like it would on a real robot screen. I think the greatest challenge for me while making this art piece was drawing the legs and arms on the robot, and making it look natural and 3D. I had to erase and redraw the limbs on the robot several times, because I didn’t like the way it looked.
