Mouth
The mouth is the start of the digestive system this is where you place the food item and chew which is the first mushing of the food.

as it is the start of a 24hour race
Oesophagus
The oesophagus is the connection between the mouth and the stomach it carries food down using muscle contractions so even when you are lying down you can still get food to your stomach
This is where the oesophagus is in your body
The oesophagus is an inportant part of your digestive system. All of the digestive system would not work without it.
Stomach
The stomach is the churner it fully disintagrates any big bits of food with the help of stomach acid from the liver.
The small intestine is the start of a long pipe which shapes the food it then absorbs all the nutrience for the body whilst the waste makes its way to the large intestine.
The stomach is important as it is the final bit of mushing to make sure that all the food is small and ready for the intestines!
Small Intestine

The small intestine is very important as we would lose all the nutriance from our food if we didn't have it
Large Intestine
The large intestine is the next bit of intestine before the bottom it prepares the waste for the toilet.
The large intestine is important for carring the digested waste all the way to the finish line!
