When Elmer joins the herd, all the elephants are standing still, quiet and serious. Elmer wants to laugh, so he lifts his trunk and shout....

The elephants are surprised. They jump and say: "Elmer! It must be Elmer!". And all the elephants start laughing.

Every year on Elmer's day all the elephants decorate themselves  and parade and  Elmer paints himself grey. He is the only grey elephant on this day!

... Elmer was different. He wasn't elephant colour...

It was Elmer who kept the elephants happy. Sometimes he joked with the other elephants, sometimes they joked with him. But if there was a little smile it was usually Elmer who started it.

Elmer walked through the jungle and he met a lot of animals. They always said: Good morning Elmer! Elmer smiled and said: "Good morning"
