Once Upon a Time

A HUGE thanks to Mrs. Garcia for teaching us the elements of a fairy tale and for helping us write our fun stories!

Fiona lives in the country. She has a fawn named Bambi. Her mom found the fawn in their front yard. The mother deer had abandoned the fawn because she had to choose between the strongest one and the weakest one, which was Bambi. They are feeding her with a bottle. Bambi follows Fiona around and thinks she’s her mother. As you can see, Fiona loves animals.

Ashlyn lives near a creek and she loves finding frogs and lizards there. She likes to play with her pet birds named Journey and Sky. She has a dog named Lexi and a fish named Popsicle. She enjoys riding her brother’s monster truck and also likes to ride her bike. Her bike recently broke when she ran into three trash cans. Other things she likes to do are playing on her Nintendo 2 DS, playing Minecraft, and eating chocolate chip cookies. Ashlyn was born on her grandmother’s birthday.

Luke enjoyed making this story with John. His favorite part was when they got to do the illustrations because he loves to draw. Luke lives with his mom, dad, older brother, and older sister. He also has a golden retriever named Tuck and three glow in the dark fish. John’s favorite part of making this book was when they were recording because they helped each other. He enjoys watching movies. John lives with his parents, an older brother, and a younger sister.

Grace likes to do cheer, gymnastics, and drawing. She loves to swim in her backyard pool. She has two pet dogs but they do NOT like to swim. Grace enjoys eating pizza covered in cheese. She lives with her parents and one little sister. Cate loves candy, especially Smarties. She also likes pizza covered in cheese. She has one dog named Humphrey. Humphrey is a miniature golden doodle. She lives with her parents and an older brother.

Harper likes dogs and parrots. She has two dogs named Piper and Bailey. They’re both really cute. Piper has black spots and white fur. Bailey has tannish fur and floppy ears. Harper has a sister named Haley. Clara has one dog and two sisters. Her dog’s name is Duck. Her sister’s names are Milly and Charlotte. She likes to play soccer, volleyball, and basketball.

Cash loves to play with Legos. He has at least four drawers filled with Legos. He also has one drawer full and two binders of Pokemon cards. Cash also likes Nerf guns. He also enjoys his Nintendo Switch. He lives with his mom and dad in a modern house built by his parents. Tiernan loves to climb trees and play with video games. He has a tall Chinese Pistachio tree which is one of the tallest trees in the world. He also likes to climb his fence to get to his neighbor's house quickly. Tiernan lives with his parents and his siblings, a sister and a brother who are both older.

Raegan’s favorite animal is a cat because they’re so cute and I love to draw them. She really loves art because drawing is so much fun! Raegan also loves climbing trees. She even made a little fort area in one of her trees where she keeps a book, a quilt, and a loom that she made in art. Leilani likes giraffes because they are tall and pretty and they look so cute. She really loves all kinds of animals! She has a younger brother named Patrick. When she grows up she wants to be a fashion designer, a baker, and an artist.

After reading many delightful Fairy Tales, Mrs. Garcia's students worked in groups to write their own version of some well-known tales. They drew illustrations on paper then took photos of those to upload to <a href="https://bookcreator.com/">Book Creator</a>. Then, the recording began! We hope you enjoy these wonderful tales by the creative second graders!

Claire is in second grade. She enjoys reading, soccer, tennis, and karate. She likes to eat brownies and challah. Sophie is also in second grade. She loves soccer, math, and reading. She also likes watching hockey. She likes to eat ice cream and gummy bears.

Annie loves playing on electronics and she really enjoys art. She loves weaving. Annie has a very cute Boston Terrier named Morgan. Annie has a brother named Adam who is about to be in fourth grade. She loved drawing the illustrations for their story. Mia enjoys playing on the playground. Her favorite thing to do is swing. She loves playing with her friends. Mia has a fish pond and a stray black cat who tries to bother the fish! She has a big brother and a big sister. Laila loves art, especially drawing ducks and dogs. She has a white lab named Murphy but we call him Murph. Laila is an only child and lives with her mom and dad.

Ryder enjoys judo, soccer, and technology. He also likes art, TVS, friends, math, playing games, outdoors, and Nerf. He is a great helper when anyone asks. J.P. enjoys playing all sports, especially soccer and basketball. He also likes Nerf guns, playing games, and spending time with his friends. Legos, playing on his iPad, and video games are also important to J.P.
