Part ONE: State and National Organizations

A great way to get started building your Professional Learning Network is to find state and national organizations that support educators and provide resources and networking opportunities. The following pages highlight and provide some basic information on professional membership organizations for visual art educators. These organizations have websites and social media sites to connect with other educators as well as conferences and exhibitions to meet face to face.

Another great way to connect with other educators is through social media! Sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn offer ways to contact other educators, share resources and make connections for learning and developing a network of support. Educators on social media often have their own network of fellow educators that you can discover and add to your own Professional Learning Network This section highlights visual art educators including classroom examples and support for gifted and high achieving students
