Alice Pope Ogan was born in 1857,
in Hackney, England.
Then she came with her family
to Argentina by the end of the century.
She lived in Hurlingham, in the province of Buenos Aires
in Hackney, England.

Alice had four brothers. They were called Arthur, Henry, George and Alfred, and she also had one sister called Florence. Her parents were called Alfred Ogan and Amelia Pope.She didn't marry. She was a kind and sweet lady.
Alice Ogan founded Villa Devoto School in 1908. At that time, she was 51 years old. She was a member of the Anglican church. After that, she became the V.D.S Headmistress together with Miss Mary Sheaburn White.
Alice died on March 27th in 1934. She was 77 years old.She died of cancer. Finally, Miss Ann Dey took over after Miss Ogan's death.
