Students of The Week
Sahara Alaia
The Elementary student of the week is Sahara Alaia. Sahara thinks she deserves to be student of the week because she did the Pledge of Allegiance. When we asked her how does it feel being chosen as the student of the week she said "It feels funny I have never been student of the week." We asked what makes her stand out she said "gymnastics." She was chosen by Mrs. Mooney because she is a Great student, kind, and helpful.
We had the honor to interview Lamarxia Hall. (Who is also captain of his class.) For student of the week. Lamarxia was picked by Ms. Axelrad. He said that he feels great about being picked, probably because he was already picked for captain of the class about a week ago. Lamarxia has been doing great in class! He was picked because he's always eager to participate and he's also always the first to volunteer to help.

Elementary Art
This week in art class the elementary students learned about lines and how important they can be! Then they imagined what half of an animal would look like made out of straight lines. For their main project they did abstract art with rulers creating lines and imagining the shapes that can come out of the lines!
