The Turks & Caicos Islands are the ideal antidote to your busy lifestyle, offering nearly deserted beaches, blindingly white sand, vibrant coral reefs, crunchy conch fritters, and a relaxed, carefree atmosphere. The Turks & Caicos National Museum is the finest place to see the historic and cultural center (and cruise ship hub) of laid-back Grand Turk, where Christopher Columbus made his first port of call in the Western Hemisphere. Regular visitors to these narrow stretches of white sand will confirm that they would not have it any other way.

The biggest of the 118 islands in French Polynesia is Tahiti. However, vacationers concur that it is worthwhile to splash out for the warm waters, the lush forests, and the opulent resorts. May through October is the ideal season to visit Tahiti. Despite Tahiti's year-round warm temps, the winter months are less humid. In 1965 private ERCO Ercoupe F01 lost with pilot and one passenger, en route from Ft. Lauderdale to the Grand Bahamas Islands.

In 1971 4-seater Cessna 337 Super Skymaster went down between Curaçao and Barbados with 4 passengers aboard: Jerome and Leatrice Levin and Paul and Delores Warren. After a two-week intensive search nothing was recovered of the aircraft or passengers, and nothing has ever been recovered since.
In 1814: The USS Wasp's last known position was in the Caribbean Sea before disappearing off the radar, with 140 passengers on board. The possibility was that USS Wasp was struck in a storm, sinking the boat, leaving no survivors.
In 1925, on December 1, SS Cotopaxi, departed Charlestown, South Carolina bound to Havana, Cuba. Then two days later put out a distress call saying that they were sinking. She was officially listed as overdue on December 31. Recently in 2020 a shipwreck was found of St.Augustine Florida that would turn out to be the remains SS Cotopaxi.
The History of The Bermuda Triangle
Flight 19 was the designation of a group of five General Motor TBM Avenger torpedo bombers that disappeared over the Bermuda Triangle on December 5, 1945. After losing contact during a U.S Navy underwater navigation training flight from Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale, Florida. All 14 airmen on that training flight were. As well, as the 13 crew members that filed a search for them. A report by Navy Inspectors concluded that the Flight leader (Lt. Charles C. Taylor) mistook small islands as the Florida Keys after his compass broke. Resulting the group to go farther away from where their destination was suppose to be.
The Bermuda Triangle is a section around South Florida, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico where more than 20 airplanes, and 50 ships have mysteriously disappeared. Reports of these disappearances have dated all the way back to the 19th century. Some ships have been discovered but were completely abandon without a reason. Others just disappeared never heard from again. Planes that even went to search for them have been reported then vanished, the rescue missions are also said to have vanished when flying in the area. However no wreckage has been found since this day which made theories explain the mysteries more supernatural. But the theories stop there due to the insufficient evidence. What do you think? Where did these people go? Are they Alive? If so, where are they now?
The Art of Leonardo Da Vinci
By: Shantel Tyree
Mona Lisa
The Last Supper
Leonardo Da Vinci's iconic Mona Lisa, the world's most famous, recognizable, and copied artwork, has a storied history. Painted between 1503 and 1519, it was owned by French royalty for centuries. Liberated by Revolutionary forces, the painting briefly adorned Napoleon's bedroom, then was installed in the Louvre. The Mona Lisa is famous because it is widely praised as evidence of the Leonardo Da Vinci's mastery of human anatomy and natural realism. Scholars have attributed this sort of accomplishment due to the artist's brush and colour blending skills. Mona Lisa's softly sculpted face shows how innovative da Vinci was in regards to exploring new techniques. The Mona Lisa is also famous because of its exhibition at the Louvre, as well as its widespread reproduction in popular art and culture. The Mona Lisa has been stolen once but has been vandalized many times. It was stolen on 21 August 1911 by an Italian Louvre employee who was driven to act by his Italian patriotism. The Mona Lisa is a beautiful piece of art which millions visit to see each year and has inspired others to paint many more magnificent pieces.
Leonardo da Vinci painted the Last Supper somewhere between 1495 and 1498. It was painted for a Dominican convent in Milan. The painting was commissioned by Ludovico Sforza who was the Duke of Milan. Sforza was a wealthy man and a patron to Leonardo at the time. The painting represents the scene of the Last Supper of Jesus with the Twelve Apostles, as it is told in the Gospel of John – specifically the moment after Jesus announces that one of his apostles will betray him. The apostles' facial expressions are full of life, revealing shock, horror and rage. From a technical point of view, the use of perspective here is masterful. When King Louis invaded Milan in 1499, he was tempted to cut the mural from the wall and take it home with him. Then, due to humidity and flaking, the painting was considered totally ruined by the middle of the 16th century. The painting is a religious treasure and a very beautiful piece of art.
