My name is Achara, and my family Immigrated from Vietnam just a few years ago. I am 12 years old and in grade 7, its time for school!

Welcome to Thailand<br/>today I will be taking you <br/>on a journey through my day!

Now we are going to be talking about Thailand's culture! We are going to be using the chalk board for this.

What is the future outlook for our country?

Although this may look beautiful, air pollution has become a serious environmental and health issue in Thailand. Which falls under the united nations goal 15.

Did you Know: Thailand is ranked number 28th for the most polluted Country 

-Thousands of years ago, the people of Ban Chiang live in what is now northeastern Thailand<br/>

-1238 The kingdom of Sukhothai is established

-1350 The kingdom of Ayutthaya takes over Sukhothai

-1569–90 The Burmese invade and conquer Ayutthaya

-1782 Taksin goes insane and is replaced by Chao Phraya Chakri (King Rama I), the first Chakri king the country is known as Siam

I am going to show you a timeline which might help with more understanding of more recent history! Also to help show how Thailand has changed. 

We can expect our economy to grow because Thailand's economy expanded 2.2% in the first quarter from earlier last year

-The culture in Thailand is&nbsp;a mix of strong Indian influences, Chinese traditions, and elements that are uniquely Thai.

&nbsp;-Thai Buddhists travel to temples to make offerings when they feel in need of blessings

-Buddhism has combined with many old folk beliefs

Now lets move on to some history about Thailand!

Thailand has a&nbsp;constitutional monarchy, that means a government with both a constitution and a royal family.

The prime minister governs with the help of his cabinet instead of the king fully ruling
