Solar energy is the radiation from the Sun capable of producing heat, causing chemical reactions, or generating electricity. The total amount of solar energy received on Earth is vastly more than the world's current and anticipated energy requirements. If suitably harnessed, solar energy has the potential to satisfy all future energy needs.

The importance of solar energy is first that it is clean, it is renewable and with the latest capacity to supply a much more significant proportion of our energy requirements. At the moment, solar energy production accounts for about 1% of the global electricity generation.
The sun has produced energy for billions of years. It is the most important source of energy for life forms. It is a renewable source of energy unlike non renewable sources such as fossil fuels.
Solar energy technologies use the sun’s energy to light homes, produce hot water, heat homes and electricity.
Today, solar is the most popular form of renewable energy in the world and it’s used to power homes, buildings and entire communities. Each year, the sun produces enough electricity to meet the world’s energy needs without having to use fossil fuels.
The Sun radiates light and hear, or solar energy, which makes it possible for life to exist on Eath. Plants need sunlight to grow. Animals, including humans, need plants for food and the oxygen they produce. Without heat from the Sun, Earth would freeze.
