Tips for Teachers

Use Buncee for Weekly Schedules during remote learning or in the classroom.

Start with something small to get your students used to the platform. I like to start with an all about me slide so they can research their favorites. You can ask them to add in their favorite animal, things to do, colors, shapes, etc.

Create A video - The easiest way to create a video is with the built in camera on the device. Once in a project you would click on my media and choose the web cam. Then get ready in 3, 2, 1 and record you message to your students or it could be a student recording themselves for their project.

Create A GIF - This is the newest tool added to WeVideo. You can create a GIF up to 45 seconds long. A GIF is a short movie with no sound that will loop and play over and over again. Many educators have found this as a successful tool to deliver technology directions to students.

Create A Green Screen Without a Green Screen - WeVideo offers many templates where you don't need to have a physical Green Screen. You can also build your own template in Google Slides, Google Draw or Microsoft Powerpoint.

- Paint a green wall

- Green bedsheet
(for cloak or backdrop)

- Green roll paper

- Paint an old map/screen green

- Green straws

- Green face paint

- Green clothing/t-shirts

- Green paper cutouts

- Painted pizza box interiors

- Green felt

- Green paper in a picture frame

When editing a clip, go to the color keying tab!
Use the eyedropper tool to remove whatever color you select (in this case, GREEN)!

I filmed myself holding a sheet of green construction paper. I keyed out the green in WeVideo, thus creating a transparent "window" that revealed whatever I layered underneath.

For that, I chose a photo of a skeleton, which I resized and adjusted until it lined up to me as much as possible. Ta da!

Here's the breakdown of the video tracks, and how I stacked them!

Video 3-5 = Emoji .png still images (found via Google search)

Video 2 = Footage of me in front of the green screen, colored keyed out.

Video 1 = Background (in this case, the "matrix-esque") design.
