Lost and Home Again

Prologue

“Bye honey!” called Harper’s mom. “ Bye mom!” the little koala called back. “See you soon.” Harper’s parents were going to a party that night and Harper was staying home. After her parents left, Harper went up to her room. As she walked through the door of her room in the tree her family lived in, she noticed a door she had never seen before. She walked over to it and opened it. Instantly, her room was filled with purple light! Quickly, she shut it . It was obvious this was no ordinary door. Slowly she opened it again. Once more, her room was filled with purple light. This time, Harper tried putting her paw through the door. As soon as it went through the door, her arm was filled with a tingling sensation. Next, she tried her other arm, it too was filled with a tingling sensation. Lastly she tried putting her head through. “OH, NO!” she cried. She had fallen through the strange door!

Chapter 1
THE BEACH

“WWWWEEEEEEEEEEEE!” Harper cried. She had discovered the fun in falling through a “magic” door. Suddenly, she felt solid ground. Now her bum hurt. ”OOF,” she cried. Once the purple light faded, she looked around. She gasped! She was somewhere she had only ever read about!

“Wow!” Harper gasped in amazement. She was on a beach, the first one she had ever been to. As she looked around, she noticed that there where other people there, but they didn’t look anything like her friends back home. One of them walked over to her and said, ”Hi,I am Blake. I just happened to notice that you just appeared out of nowhere, so I thought I would come check on you (I also wanted to make sure I was not hallucinating!) OH, and what is your name?” Harper stared at him for a minute, then she fainted.

When Harper woke up, she felt dazed. Suddenly a funny looking face was peering at her. “AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!” Harper screamed. When she realized who it was, she said “Blake, do not do that ever again!” “Sorry, I just wanted to tell you that Lady Bella, Lady Thalia, and Lady Joy want to see you.” Blake informed her. Harper felt her cheeks burn “Oh, I didn’t know, sorry.” “It’s okay.” said Blake, “Now, shall I take you to the ladies?”

When Harper and Blake arrived at Lady Bella’s bedroom (which was where the ladies were), the ladies were talking about fancy dresses. “Ladies!” Blake called, “I brought your guest!” “Hello,” said a little mouse, “I am Lady Bella. This is Lady Thalia and this is Lady Joy.” “Hello, dear.” said Lady Thalia. “Um, Hi” said Harper. “Well, see ya later” said Blake. And with that, he left .

Chapter 2
I MUST GET HOME

After Blake left, Lady Joy said “Oh, I forgot to ask, what is your name?” “M- my name is Harper.” Harper stammered. “Why, that is a nice name.” Lady Thalia remarked happily. “Lady Joy?” Harper asked tentatively. “Yes,dear?” Lady Joy replied. “Not to be rude, but exactly what animal are you?” Harper asked. Lady Joy, taken aback answered “I am a dog a D.O.G.” Then in a kinder tone, she said “How could you not know?” “I-I’m not from here.”Harper replied.”I don’t know what a dog is.” At this, everybody got quiet.

A few minutes later Lady Bella broke the silence “Then how did you get here, to Florida? Oh, are you an alien, a vampire, a dog, cat, mouse eating
swamp monster👹.!” “I AM NOT ANY OF THOSE THINGS!!!!!” Harper shouted, ”For your information, I am a KOALA, an animal from Australia. And I’m not really sure how I got here." she informed them. "However that is not important right now. I need to GET HOME, NOW!” she declared. “My mom- Kara, dad-Stephen, and sister-Emilia will be worried.” Every one went quiet.

Finally, Lady Joy asked, “Where are your parents?” “They went to my sister’s graduation ceremony.” Harper replied. ”Honey ,where do you live?” asked Thalia. “I live at 223 Sandcrost Road, Australia. My zip code is 1152374, why do you ask?” “Did you say you live in Australia?” Bella questioned her. “Yes,why?” “Because you'er in FLORIDA!” Thalia shouted.”OH,NO! IF I’M IN FLORIDA, I CAN’T CLEAN MY ROOM, AND I PROMISED!!!!!!!!” Harper shouted. “Harper, that is not important right now.” Joy said. Somehow she had managed to stay calm. “Harper,I have an idea for getting you home, now, follow me.”

As Harper followed Bella, she took note of everything she saw. She was so alert that she even noticed the sandwiches (which a servant was carrying) where peanut butter-jelly-squash-banana-lettuce. (her favorite!) However, she wasn’t alert enough to notice Bella stop, so when she did, Harper ran into her. “Hey,” cried Bella, ”why did you run into me?” “Sorry,” Harper said ashamed “I didn’t see you had stoped.”

Chapter 3
HOW LONG UNTIL I GET HOME?

The small group walked on and on until they finally reached their destination. When they reached it, Bella said “This is it Harper.” As Harper looked around, she was disappointed to see it was just a deserted alley way. “Er,Bella?” Harper asked “Yes, Harper?” Bella returned. “Well, on the way to wherever we are, you said something about a secret magical palace.?” Harper reminded her. Just then Thalia exclaimed “There is a BUG on my tail!” “Nope, make that TWO BUGS on my tail!” “Here,” said Joy “I’ll brush it off for you.” Bella now annoyed that her conversation with Harper had been disrupted yelled for quiet. “IF YOU TWO DON’T SHUT UP NOW, I WILL HAVE YOU BOTH PUT IN THE DUNGEON!!!!” Then she reconsidered “OR, I’LL BITE YOUR TAIL OFF ALL TOGETHER!!!” She yelled.
