The Poof
Hi! I’m going to tell you a little story, but first, let me introduce myself. My name is Rose Rinkle. If you are wondering why I was named Rose, that’s because I was born on Valentine's Day. And when most people say the word rose, it would remind them of Valentine's Day, since roses show love. But enough about me. Let's talk about how my world works. The plants in my world aren't just any plants. Some plants can talk, dance, hold things for you, grow without being watered, and even walk! Some of them have a mixed combination of different types of plants. Also, the animals in my world aren't just ordinary animals. They can talk. They can also have wings, horns, tails, and many more different combinations. For example, I have a pet named Ella. She is half hamster and prairie dog and she talks too.
I love animals and plants so I have read many fairytale books about some weird animals and plants. The plants in the fairytales can only sit there and sometimes get stepped on by humans! I feel so bad for those poor plants. And the animals in the fairytales are different too! For example, some of the animals in the book I’ve never seen before. The monkeys in the book have arms and legs that look like human ones. The ants are very small. They could only be red or black. And most of all some of the bears are big and grizzly. Some of them are white and they live in cold places. In the book, the brown ones are called the grizzly bears and the white ones are called polar bears. I was so surprised by how amazing these animals looked.

Now that I’ve introduced myself and how this world works, let me tell you about where I live. I live in a small wooden house that is surrounded by a big noisy forest. I’m saying that it’s noisy because I hear lots of growling, stomping, flowing, waving, and chirping noises. I’m pretty much used to all the noises in the forest. But one day, while I was sleeping peacefully, I heard some weird noises outside that I had never heard before! The noises were like squeaky noises and the splashing of water combined. Those noises woke me up. When I heard those noises I felt curious because I never seemed to hear those noises, especially from the forest. So then I jumped off my bed and changed into my galaxy T-shirt and jean shorts and ran to the kitchen where my mother was cooking. I said good morning to my mom and my mom told me that today was the first day of SUMMER BREAK! I replied to my mom saying that I was so excited to start my summer!!!
Then, I asked my mom if she knew where the noises were coming from. But she said that she didn’t know. I asked her where my dad was thinking that my dad might know where the noise was coming from and my mother replied, “He’s in the backyard garden.” So, I ran to the garden to ask my dad if he knew what was making that noise. But, when I got to the garden I saw my dad talking to the daisy bushes. I heard my dad and the daisies having a conversation. I knew that they were talking about something, but I wasn’t sure what. So, I stood by the corner of the house to see if I could hear what they were talking about.
“Hey, daisies,” my dad said.
Then the daisies replied, “Yes, do you need something?”

My dad said, “Well… what if she finds out about it?”
“Um…Uh…Well…Uh…I don’t think she will find out unless you make it too obvious, if you know what we’re trying to say?” said the daisies trying to be helpful.
“Oh, ok it’s fine, thanks for trying to help though,” my dad said.
“No problem, if you have any other questions or problems, we would be glad to help you any time!” said the daisies.
So after my dad and the daisies finished talking, I thought to myself what exactly were they talking about? But, then I remembered that I had to ask my dad the question about the noises. So, I ran over and asked him, “Dad, do you know anything about the weird noises and where they’re from?”
Then my dad answered, “No! Why do you ask?”
“Nothing. I was just wondering, do you know or have something to do with the squeaky and splashing nois-?”
“NO!” my dad said, looking all sweaty.
