All about Colin Kaepernick 

Colin Kaepernick, a football player and social justice activist, faced many obstacles throughout his life. When Colin protested for racial justice, people did not agree with him, and he was fired. Since Colin was protesting, nobody wanted him on their team because he would cause too many problems. Due to all of the protesting, president Donald Trump said to the NFL leaders, “ Fire players who protest in the national anthem,” which made a lot of things harder for Colin. Despite the obstacles he faced, Colin did not give up, and is still fighting for social justice.

Colin had a hard time going through his childhood. Colin’s parents couldn’t afford to keep him, so he was adopted when he was six weeks old. When Colin was in high school he was a star player on his football team. After Colin graduated from high school, he became an NFL player for the 49ers in 2011. While Colin was a great athlete at a young age, he still enjoyed being a kid and had a pet turtle when he was 10 years old named Sammy.

Alex Feinsilver-Shorr, an amazing author, is a great gymnast too! Alex is a level 1 gymnast that loves gymnastics. She will be turning into a level 2 gymnast in her competition  on May 13th, 2023. Alex also has a talent for art. She is really good at it, and got her skills from her amazing older brother, Dylan. Once Alex made a piece of art at art class that ended up getting framed for her cousin’s birthday. Alex also loves musical theater and was the role of an octopus in fish, violet in Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory, and is now Veruca salt in Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory. Jacob Katz, an amazing author, is great at basketball too. One fun fact about him is that he loves to play basketball, Another fun fact about him is that he also likes to play tennis and is very good at it, One more fun fact about him is that he likes to spend a lot of his time with is family, and friends. I think that I'll be a trailblazer one day and here are my reasons. I could be a trailblazer by trying to make sure that no one is treated differently just because of skin color, religion, or what they believe in. I could be a trailblazer by being the first to do something! I want to give a speech about helping the people who are homeless because I care. I could be a trailblazer by changing the world with kindness. I think that one day, I will be a trailblazer!

Colin often kisses his bicep when he is celebrating touchdowns. Colin has a brother and a sister. During his first football season he only threw five passes. Colin’s best game was in 2010 against the university of Idaho. Colin started playing football at 8 years old. In fourth grade, Colin wrote a note to himself sharing his dreams to be in the NFL. Colin Kaepernick is 6 ft, 4 in. Colin was one of the fastest players on his team. Colin was drafted in 2011 to the 49ers.

I can be a trailblazer, a person who changes the world, by being the first to do something. One way how I can change the world by protesting when I get older. Another way how I can change the world is by being kind. One more way how I can change the world is by helping others. This is how I can change the world, and be a trailblazer

Colin Kaepernick was a person who protested for his beliefs that changed the world. Colin Kaepernick kneeled during the National Anthem in his football games to support the rights of minorities. Many people followed his lead, and did the same. It brought attention to the issues that needed to be fixed. When Colin Kaepernick kneeled during the National Anthem, he was also fighting against police brutality, which is when police officers are not treating people who are minorities fairly. Because Colin Kaepernick protested for his beliefs he gave minorities a voice.
