Warsaw Legends 

Sawa was a mermaid. She had long shiny blond hair and blue eyes. She also had a fish tail with blue and green scales. 

Janek was young. He had blond hair and brown eyes

Janek was a poor shoemaker. He wore torn clothes and shoes with holes. 

He wanted to be rich and never to be hungry again. 

When Sawa fell in love with Wars, she turned into a woman. 

Sawa and Wars fell in love with each other and got married. They had a lot of children

The Duck lived in Warsaw, in the dungeons of the Ostrogskich Castle.

It was a princess who was turned into a golden duck because of a spell. 

Once upon a time there was a young man named Wars. Wars was a fisherman.  

He was poor, he lived in a small hut in a forest by the Vistula River

Wars was young. He had short brown hair, green eyes and he was of average height. He wore torn old shirts and old trousers and old boots with holes.

Janek was lucky because he found the golden duck. He was the first person to find her. 

He was strong and brave. He was also intelligent because he knew where to look for the Duck 

Sawa liked swimming with fish in the Vistula River. She also liked singing beautiful songs 

Wars was lucky, he always had some fish in his net. 

He fished in the Vistula River every day. &nbsp;He liked fishing in the night because the water was calm. 

The Duck was all golden with a golden crown on her head.
