The Haunted Forest By: Sasha
Mia is a young girl who loves horror movies and exploring things that are spooky, but today Mia is exploring the one and only place where even most adults get scared. The place is called "Creaky Woods". It used to be owned by a famous explorer, but he later went missing. Most people think the forest is haunted.
Mia was not afraid she said she has probably seen scarier things. In the evening Mia got her stuff ready and went to explore. When she got to the woods she saw a broken sign, shattered pieces of glass, clothes, and dirty clothes. Although Mia said she wasn't scared she had felt a shiver run down her spine. As Mia walked through the dirty sidewalk, the moonlight made her see a bit better. However, she didn't see she had stepped on a log and rolled down a small hill. She had landed near a lake.
Once she stood up she saw something quite strange, it was almost like a stick floating closer to the shore. She looked at it and she realized it was a skeleton bird. Mia shrieked! She tried to run until she hit her ankle against something sharp. She looked back and saw the skeleton of the explorer that went missing. At this point Mia was to scared to even move. She saw a shadow of a figure in the woods. It was a huge bat with large wings, Mia stood still. Should I run or stay still? thought Mia. She ended up running back as fast as she could. Mia had made it out, but she still wondered where that huge bat creature came from.

Veronica came downstairs.
It was a gray morning and school was canceled.
Veronica was planning to get together with her friends, Hailey and Susan.
They were going to go to the abandoned mansion in the woods.
Most people think the mansion is haunted and never go to those woods.
The doorbell rang and veronica opened the door.
Hailey and Susan came inside the house.
"I brought the flashlights" said Hailey.
It was time to go explore.
~ after walking to the entrance of the woods ~
The gates were locked, "we will have to climb over" Susan said.
We climbed over, the trees were covering the smallest bits of sunlight.
We all saw... the house with huge vines covering it, shattered windows, and no door.
we went inside.
The house looked abandoned... right?
Veronica looked to her left and saw something glowing.
scream!

Veronica looked to where her friends were standing. "Is everyone okay?" But they weren't there...
Her heart started pounding, where were her friends?
Veronica started to run but realized she couldn't... something or someone was holding her. Veronica turned around and saw a ghost. She screamed and felt like she was falling, her head was spinning, and she couldn't see anything.
Veronica woke up and realized that she fainted.
She ran out of the house into the woods.
"Hailey, Susan where are you?" Veronica called.
The sun was setting and it was getting colder, Veronica had to get back home.
Soon it was night and she couldn't see a thing and ended up getting lost
Home, she thought I have to get back home.
She heard something screech far away in the forest.
Run I have to run.
The screeching became closer.
Run faster!
Veronica tripped and saw the monster.
It grabbed her hand.
She was never to be seen.

I opened the door. It creaked louder than the rocking chair at my grandma's house. Then I heard it. There was heavy breathing coming from behind me. I turned around and saw a shadowy figure. It had illuminating white eyes and it looked like it was wearing a robe. It had horns. It was incredibly tall. It stuck out it's shadowy hands at me. I shut my eyes and screamed, but when I opened my eyes, it was gone. I turned around and ran away from the cabin. I felt something tug on my back. I ripped of my backpack and kept sprinting.
I should probably explain how this happened. I was at home eating breakfast and heard a scratch at my door. I opened it to find a dog. It was very thin. I went to the kitchen and grabbed some leftover food for it. I gave it to him but instead of eating it he started walking somewhere he checked over his shoulder for me. He stopped walking when he saw that I wasn't following. I started to think it was a she and she was bringing me to her puppies. I followed she led me to the woods, and then farther into the woods. Then after a while it turn and started walking the other way. I turned to follow it but it was gone. I was completely lost in the woods.
I started heading in one direction and stumbled on a cabin. That's how I got here, a shadow chasing me through the woods.
I rammed into a log lying on it's side. My foot throbbed as I stumbled through the dense trees. I saw a light coming from the direction I was headed. The light got obstructed by the shadowy figure from before. I jumped back. It grabbed my by the foot, thankfully not the one that got rammed into the log.
The beast smacked me into the floor. I wiggled lose from it's grip and bolted into the light. I was in immense pain. I looked at my leg. It looked like something was spreading from my leg. I thought it was from the shadow creature but it was spreading from the other leg. I had just gotten an infection from the stupid log. Someone walked over and saw that I was injured, so they called 911. I am the most injured from the log, not the monster, the log. After a few minutes I passed out. I woke up in the hospital. A nurse came in and asked how I
