What Is a Biome
A biome is an area classified according to the species that live in that location. Temperature range, soil type, and the amount of light and water are unique to a particular place and form the niches for specific species allowing scientists to define the biome.
What Does a tropical rain forest look like?
Rainforests cover less than 6% of the earth but scientists estimate that more than half of the world's plants and animals live in the tropical forest. The tropical forest is a hot, moist biome where it rains all year long.
What is the climate
Tropical rainforests are lush and warm all year long! Temperatures don't even change much between night and day. The average temperature in tropical rainforests ranges from 21 to 30°C.
