The Date to Start

Oh no! I'm going to be late for my date with Shoshana. Shoshana is going to be so mad I'm not at the restaurant.
"Help!" I stop running. Who said that? That word came from behind me. I look behind me and I see an old lady with very white hair and a purse on the ground.
"Young man, can you pick up my purse?" I pick up the purse, give it to her and start running again. I'm almost there.
My phone starts to ring and I pick it up. "Chase where are you!" Shoshana says. I say "Sorry I promise I'm almost there." "Ok but don't let me down." BEEP. I see the restaurant named Joe's Food . I see Shoshana in there too. I get into the restaurant and Shoshana sees me. "You're late," she says.
I sit in the chair next to her and I pick up the menu. I feel bad taking her to a really cheap restaurant. I say "So what are you going to get?"
"Umm, I'm going to get a salad."

I look at the menu and I see steak. I decide to get that. Oh brother, late and a cheap restaurant, two in one day. At least she doesn't mind that it's a cheap restaurant. The waiter walks over to us and asks "What do you want to drink today." And of course, me and Shoshana say water.
The old lady who had dropped her purse walks in the door. She spots me and comes over. She says "My name is Mary I am so grateful to you, thank you" and gives me ten dollars. She smiles I say " Sorry but I can't take this."
Shoshana looks at me and I can tell she respects my choice. This date turned out good after all.
