Unesco Heritage 2023

On the third day we visited some towns of Valle D’Itria, which are Alberobello, Martina Franca and Cisternino. In the morning we went to Alberobello and visited Rione Aia Piccola and Rione Monti (dedicated to tourists). We had lunch inside nature and after that we bought souvenirs from the cute shops in Rione Monti. In the afternoon we went to Martina Franca and we visited the duke’s palace in which there was an art show. We made a stop at Cisternino where we walked through picturesque streets. In the evening we organised an amazing party at Annalisa’s house and we had so much fun!

A few days after the departure of our French friends, in our school we celebrate Erasmus Day, a joyful event to remember, between songs, dances and conferences, the importance of memorable and significant experiences that only Erasmus can give you. Unluckily, the last day has arrived. During the morning we stayed at school and worked on our projects all together; we also had a break time with focaccia. At lunch everybody was at his own home, excited for the night. In fact in the evening we had a farewell party, where we received our  certificates and had such a great time eating, laughing and playing. Everybody was sad cause it was our last day together, but we were satisfied of our experience and aware that we would continue to talk: friendship has no distance!

30th September - 7th October

THANK YOU FOR THIS AMAZING AND UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE! SEE YOU SOON, DEAR FRIENDS...

We spent the fifth day visiting the famous "Sassi di Matera", located in Basilicata. After a long and exciting walk through  the old streets of the city, we had some relaxing time, enjoying our lunch in the shade. Then we took the bus and moved to Gravina di Puglia to see and walk through the famous Gravina's Bridge where the movie "No time to die" had been filmed in 2021. The last stop of the tour was Altamura, a city famous for its unique bread; in fact we went to a bakery where we discovered how this special bread is made and also had the opportunity to eat a very tasty focaccia. We finished the day eating pizza at "300 gradi" restaurant, where our French friends became chefs making pizza with Nutella.

On Wednesday we went to an important industry in Rutigliano called "Divella" to see the production processes of pasta and biscuits; then we concluded the morning visiting "Orchidea", a factory where fruit is packed, specialised in grapes: everybody received a pack of grapes. After lunch, which everyone had with his own family, we moved to Noicattaro and had a tour of the town, with the welcoming of the Mayor. Finally we had dinner all together with panzerotti at "Tempio di Bacco" restaurant: everyone enjoyed it!

On Sunday French guys spent the day with their hosting family to create a bond with them. They tasted typical foods, such as focaccia, pasta or lasagna, and visited some famous and suggestive cities like Monopoli, Conversano and Polignano. It has been a funny and cheerful day: the beginning of a fantastic adventure!

Preparing the works for the arrival of our friends...

On Monday we started the day visiting our school and entering in some classrooms to present our project. At midday we took the bus and went to Bari where we had a tour of the city through the most important destinations like Piazza Ferrarese, Castello Svevo, Saint Nicholas' Church and the historical center. We also had some free time to go shopping and then had lunch all together at Mc Donald's. When we returned to Rutigliano, the Mayor welcomed the French guys in the archeological museum of Rutigliano, which we have visited, lead by Peppino Sorino, a member of the Archeoclub of our town. In the evening, we went out and had dinner all together in Rutigliano.
