It is starting to snow again! Let's count how many snow flakes we see!

Ten snowflakes! Ho Ho Ho! I think I see some lights! Let us see what is over here!

Ho Ho Ho! It's my reindeer! Hello, Dasher, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and Rudolph! That's a lot of reindeer, let's count them!

I have eight reindeer! How about we go into my workshop. Christmas is almost here and I need to make sure all the the gifts are ready for all the girls and boys!

The penguins are building snowmen! Let's count how many snowmen they are making!

Well it's almost time for me to go, I must get ready to ride my sleigh. Oh Mrs. Clause, what lovely stockings you have placed on the fireplace! How many stockings are there?

Welcome to my workshop. Oh no! It looks like the elves forgot some toys. How many teddy bears did they forget?

The inspiration for my Christmas book, was a book called "Ten Little Jack-O-Lanterns" by Apple Sauce Press. I actually bought this book for my daughter and when I learned that I needed to make a book for this class, I thought about making a Christmas book where you count to twelve was a good idea. I only went up to twelve because so many people do activities based on the twelve days of Christmas. This book is for Kindergarteners since they are starting to learn their numbers, and I thought it would be a good book that a parent or teacher can read to them, and the students can count along with them when counting the items that Santa is asking you to count. I also made some of the items that are on here, with emojis since children use so much technology, I thought it would be a nice fun little touch for them.
