In 1834 it was illegal to have slaves in Bermuda but, in 1835 a slave ship was forced to come to Bermuda due to a hurricane. They had a court session and decided to set all the slaves free except for a woman and her five kids.

Barr's Bay Park is located in Hamilton City of Bermuda near the Hamilton Harbor. The Park is named after Barr family who lived in the city since the American Revolution in the 1700s. It's a nice place to relax and have a quiet time. Barr's bay park is has a linkage to the African Diaspora Trail.
