How To Draw A Candy Corn Monster Folding Surprise

Finally, during Art, and inspired by the SPOOKY season, we followed an online tutorial on how to draw a spooky interactive candy corn monster. Some kiddos have done some really spooky pictures.

The kiddo's deadline is today at 6 pm, but I will extend it to 8 pm because I can see that some kiddos need your help in completing their booklets. Kindly follow up with their work and the success criteria above.

For our special Friday, we have guessed each other Halloween's costumes and were challenged to come up with a new costume in 2 minutes. It was a BLAST!

We also had a Kahoot game focused on Halloween and English sentence structure, vocabulary and spelling. So it was both fun and educational.

Finally, we hosted 4 special people from Grade 4, they are the King and Queens from last year's BEEutiful Astronauts class. They joined our class to tell us why they were crowned, and whether or not they knew that they will be crowned. They also attended with us this coronation, which was extra special. This month we crowned two very special QUEENS.

IT: This week we started our slow progress towards making a short animation. The children had to create a drawing that will be adapted into animation, and they were indicated to upload their drawings on SeeSaw. Next week we will introduce the animation software, and begin working with it.

Hello, 3rd Grade grown-ups and my Thinking Artists. This week was the most fun week eveeeeeeer. It was our first week of online school and I had a blast and I think the kiddos did too (please check with them to see their feedback). We have made lots of different activities, challenges, games, and we hosted our first special coronation event with previous Kings and Queens. Come along to tell you all about it.

The Kiddos have also watched and discussed (Aysha's water walk). Understanding how privileged we are to have accessible clean water, we also discussed the different actions we can take into saving water so people like Aysha and her family have access to clean water.

This week also we had our final assessments for English, Math, and Unit of Inquiry. The kiddos have completed their grammar and math assessments using Seesaw and Liveworksheets. And for their unit of Inquiry assessment, the kiddos have created their own books on (10 Ways to Stay Healthy). The kiddos needed to follow a checklist/Success criteria to create their own booklets.

During our Unit of Inquiry, we dove deeper into investigating the Respiratory System, learning all the parts that make the Respiratory track, understanding the different mechanisms and defense systems that the Respiratory system has to protect us from germs, and discussing the oxygen flow in the body.
