WHAT IS &nbsp;THAT MAKES AN ANIMAL&nbsp;A BIRD? Students&nbsp;discuss in italian, too. After the discussion, the teacher help them&nbsp;to write&nbsp;their answer in English. The main characteristic of&nbsp;a bird is&nbsp;feathers. Birds have got wings and hollow bones. Birds lay eggs, they are warm-blooded. They are vertebrate animals.

Your paper bird is lightweight and has wings. But if you throw it, will it fly? Noooo!!!! Why not? What is your paper bird missing?

The&nbsp;Great Kite&nbsp;was a wooden machine designed by&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonardo_da_Vinci">Leonardo da Vinci</a>.&nbsp; &nbsp;The machine is named after the animal from which Leonardo took inspiration to realize the flying machine, the&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kite_(bird)">Kite</a>.
