What about all the plastic we're using in this period?

Coronavirus has changed our lives dramatically. To avoid the infection we have been obliged to stay at home so people have driven less and it is good for the environment. What was our impact on the environment? We have used more paper towels, more plastic gloves, more disposable plastic things... and we know that we make paper from trees and we also know that plastic is a real enemy for our planet.

In Greece, despite the initial alignment delay, recycling is currently satisfactory. In most products, the EU objectives are met, practically demonstrating the concern of Greek citizens for recycling and the environment.

· The Hellenic Recycling Agency (HRA) is the competent authority of the Ministry of Environment &amp; Energy for the design and implementation of recycling policy in Greece. It is responsible for approving national alternative management systems for each product and for controlling the progress of recycling within the Hellenic territory. · Schools often produce tremendous amounts of waste with instructional materials, used electronics, and food. One estimate is that 24% of school waste is recyclable paper and 50% is food waste and non-recyclable paper that can be composted. But teachers and students can work collaboratively to reduce the amount of waste produced.

· Getting students and teachers involved in recycling at school is good for the environment, educational and can be a lot of fun. Educating our children about the importance of recycling provides the country with a path to a greener future. As children learn about recycling, they will be more likely to carry these habits into their adult years. They also will learn how their personal actions can affect the future.

Coronavirus lockdown is leading to drop in pollution across Europe. This satellite photo of Italy taken at the beginning of March and and and the end of March shows how the Nitrogen Dioxide concentration over Italy has become less.

The result? The energy bill will be expensive... but ther is also a non responsible consumption of food

Giada thinks that the coronavirus lockdown has damped illegal hunting and overfishing.

Recycling is the process of collecting and processing materials that would otherwise be thrown away as trash and turning them into new products. Recycling can benefit your community and the environment.

It's simple: since all Europe has become a red zone, many flights have been cancelled! Did you know that air travel produces three times more carbon dioxide per passenger than railwaystation?

Elvira says that in this period of lockdown we're releasing less carbon dioxide in the atmosphere... so global warming is becoming less, glaciers won't melt and many endangered animals will survive.

Irene wishes the lockdown period may discourage criminals from setting on fires, so many trees and animal species are safe.

Coronavirus forced us all to change. At once we must stay at home and we are not allowed to see anyone. That is hard, but becouse of that, people drive cars less and travels less wich is good for environment. But during the coronavirus pandemic we need to protect ourselves and wear masks or plastic gloves that will one day pollute the environment if we don't do something about it. We need to separate waste correctly to protect our world!

What about our vineyard plantations? They need some cares, but farmers can't go to the countryside...

and now let's talk about our Green Entrepreneurs' feelings during the pandemic...

Coronavirus has changed our existence. These are two drawings of my town where I want to show how we are living in this period. We have discovered our national spirit: the Italian flag flies from our balconies and even the Medieval castle is lit with the colours of the Italian flag... It looks like as we were living in a surreal world. I spend my mornings taking part to the videolessons. Everybody is sad for this situation... Everybody... except for nature. It's Spring, I can hear the birds singing, I can see the butterflies flyiing and the trees covered with wonderful flowers... I do hope everything will be soon ok.

... what about our wonderful olive trees?

Some of our wonderful olive trees need a lot of care because they have been attacked by a terrible virus, Xylella Fastidiosa, that make them die. What if farmers can't go to the countryside to take care of them?

... Samuele says that maybe human beings have become aware that everybody is weak and money can't save our life. He hopes everybody has understood that with our actions we're destroying our planet. He aslo hopes that criminals won't go on with dangerous actions like deforestation.

Alessandro imagines Coronavirus as a horrible dragon and our mother Nature as a fairie that defeats our frightening enemy.

I'm looking forward to go dancing again, to going back to school, to going to the sea, to spending some time with my relatives and friends without the fear of coronavirus. This pandemia is affecting our relationship and economy as well! Ok, I'm happy we're polluting less. I hope we have all understood the lesson: we can survive without driving the car.

But thanks to this project, our Green Entrepreneurs have learned that they can't waste their time... We all need to do something to help our planet...Let's see whet they have done during this lockdown period!

During this corona virus pandemic, nature has somehow managed to recover from the exploitation and destruction of man. But the pollution got worse because people drove more cars, and disposable masks were used more, which means that they were thrown away and polluted more. During this pandemic, people forgot to recycle, take care of the environment ... None of this is commendable or good. During such awkward things, we still need to try as much as possible to stay ECO!

We look like prisoners, we're obliged to wear a mask to protect ourselves, we can't hug or touch anyone and we must wash our hands with soap. I hope we're all using eco detergents and that we're disposing the empty containers in the right place, otherwise water pollution and soil pollution will increase.

Ecology and an epidemic are more connected than you think!

Humans help spreading a disease by destroying animal habitats and intervening in the ecological system. Because of these things there have been a lot more contagious illnesses in the past 50 years. If were not careful this could only be the beginning of a lot of deadly epidemics!

Not everyone can do everything,but the most important thing is that we do the most we can do to help save our earth.While the effects of climate change seem bleak,there is still hope. Don”t use plastic straws! Use reusable bags! plant a tree! Use less electricity! It is so simple!

Climate change is a proven fact. This global warming has caused changes to the planet:rising sea level,extreme weather events,species endangered,etc. To save the planet we can REUSE and RECYCLE. We must save the energy by reduce the consuming...start with our devices. ACT against forest loss,and PLANT a tree! REDUCE emissions by use the cars less. We can PROMOTE renewable energy and also&nbsp;change what we eat.

RECIPE FOR HANDMADE TOOTHPASTE: - two tablespoons of organic coconut oil - a tablespoon of baking soda - about twenty drops of the organic peppermint oil&nbsp;

We will always have plenty of water on Earth, but the amount of freshwater that is easily accessible will continue to decline.&nbsp;

We try to save it in many ways: taking shorter baths or showers, turning off the tap while we're brushing our teeth or doing the washing up

Saving water is so important for our planet!

To avoid infection we need to wash our hands with abundant water, we need to have long showers, to wash our clothes very frequently, to wash every surface with a lot of water.

CARBON EMISSIONS There are 67M fewer air passengers in Europe. Improved air quality may have saved the lives of over 4000 children in China.

WASTE Masks, gloves, and other contaminated garbage from hospitals and households put 467k wate collection workers at risk in the USA.

WILDLIFE AND HABITAT In Chile, a cougar showed up in the center of Santiago. In India, a stag ran around the state capital of Dehradun. In Japan, sika deer wandered the streets and subway stations of Nara.

ENERGY There is a 30% increase in online gaming activity in South Korea. There is a 40% increase in broadband demand in Europe.

Is this what we're living for?Once present, now absent, Earth's beauty is fading away. They say it's not what they meant, However, it can be seen every day. We have fun and then destroy "Who cares about it anymore?" As if Earth was their little toy: Get bored then throw it on the floor. What once was a beautiful forest, Is now a field with no tree in sight. It's the epitome of sadness, But they say it's fine.Take a look, it's not hard to see People ruining more and more. And now it's concerning me: Is this what we're living for?What once was a blue sea, Is now black and green. It's the dirtiest That it has ever been.What once was a small, charming shack, Is now a big, bustling city, Slowly painting the sky in black As you hear a starving kitty.

But this is not a fairy tale! ... hundreds of people are dying, families are suffering... Luckily there are some heroes who are trying to help us. I'm talking about doctors and nurses who were considered common people until yesterday. They continue helping people even if they run the risk of dying.
