Jack's and his Families Adventure

One day, there was a boy named Jack. It was 7 o’clock in the morning and he was very excited for his first day of middle school. He was running like crazy in his house until his mom came into his room.&nbsp; She said, “Oh, honey you are going to do great in middle school just calm down and take a deep breath”&nbsp; &nbsp;“ok, mom.” Said Jack.&nbsp; &nbsp;then she left.&nbsp;After she leaves, Jack quickly puts all his notebooks, his pencils, and all of his school supplies in his backpack &nbsp;Then Jack's mom says, “honey come down come eat some breakfast.”&nbsp; Jack says “ok mom, I’ll come in a sec.”&nbsp; Jack quickly looks at the time it’s 7:20 AM, Jack says to himself, “ok that's fine I will go eat then dad will take me to school ok that works.” Jack runs downstairs.&nbsp; “I’m here mom,” says Jack.&nbsp; &nbsp;“ok honey come to the table,” says Jack’s mom.&nbsp; &nbsp;Jack says, “ok, oh good morning dad.” &nbsp;“Good morning son,” Jack's Dad says, “so are you excited”&nbsp; Jack said, “super excited the only thing I am not excited for is that I don't wanna do this race everyone is talking about”.&nbsp; Jack's dad said, “what race?”&nbsp; Jack replied, “it's this race that the whole school has been talking about on the school’s website, you have to take your family on a hiking trip on the mountains and whatever family gets to the top first wins a prize.”&nbsp; Jack's dad said, “what Prize?” Jack replied saying, “Well there are multiple prizes 3rd place gets free dinner to Olive Garden, 2nd place gets a free pass to universal studios, and 1st places get a free pass to Disneyland.”&nbsp; Jack's Dad said, “oh wow those are big prizes right honey.”&nbsp; Jack's mom said, “yup.”

Then, Jack looks at the time and says, “Dad the time it's 7:42.” Jack quickly gets his backpack and runs to his Dad and says, “Dad come on! I’m late.”Jack's Dad gets up and they both get in the car and go to school.&nbsp; Once they got to school Jack's Dad said, “have a good day at school.” Then Jack runs to the gate and goes into the school. While going to his homeroom class he saw his best friend named Michael, he ran up to him and said hi then Michael said hi, then like 2 minutes of talking were over they both went to their classes and would meet up after school.&nbsp; After they were all done with their classes they met up again and then while they were walking the principal made an announcement that the school is doing a fundraiser so whichever family attends the hike to the top of the mountain a company will donate $200 to the school for each student that completes the hike to the mountain. Whenever Jack and Michael heard that they got happy because the school might get new computers, new desks, and many more accessories for students. While they were walking to the gate, Michael saw his Dad and said bye to Jack, while Jack was waiting Jack saw his mom holding a sign saying join the hike to the top of the mountain.&nbsp; Then Jack said, “mom why are you here isn’t Dad supposed to pick me up?”&nbsp; Then Jack’s mom said, “Oh ya I forgot to tell you, we are attending the hike to the mountain.”&nbsp; Jack said, “wait what?”&nbsp; Jack’s mom said, “ya we want to help out the school so that's why I am holding a sign.”&nbsp;

I dedicate this book to my Mom and Dad because they keep me safe, they protect me, and they are always there for me.

Jack yells, “MOM” as they run to get her out of the mudslide Jack sees Trees, dirt all kinds of things in the slide.&nbsp; For about 10 seconds they don’t see her then, she finally comes up and says, “Help! help!”&nbsp; Jack says, “mom we’re here try swimming to us.” &nbsp;Then Jack and his Dad go in the slide and try getting her out of there then Jack finally gets as close as he can get without getting hit by a branch then they both see a big branch coming near them Jack says, “mom lookout,” then they both duck down in the water while Jack's Dad Gets out of the slide and goes and tries to get a big branch to get them out.&nbsp; Then Jack says, “mom here give me your hand”&nbsp; Jack’s mom tries to give her hand but she can't reach it then Jack sees a little branch he grabs it and says, “Here mom hold on.” &nbsp;Jack’s mom finally got the branch then Jack pulls her to him and Jack grabs his mom. Finally, Jack's Dad comes with a huge branch and they both hold on to it and Jack's Dad and the other families put their hand on the branch and count to 3.&nbsp; Jack's Dad said, “ 1, 2, 3.” &nbsp;They all pulled and they did it, they got them out of the Mudslide. After they got out they had all dirt all over them, then Jack’s dad looked at the school’s website and saw that they were at 5th place then he said to Jack's mom that it does not look like we are going to win we are now in 5th place&nbsp; Jack said, “what,” so then they started hiking again while it was still raining, then Jack's Dad looks at the school's website to see if there was any change and they were now in 3rd place.&nbsp; As they were getting higher and higher they passed 3rd place then Jack’s dad said, “wait I see a family”&nbsp; They said, “where?” &nbsp;Jack’s dad said, “There!” &nbsp;They were just sitting on the floor drinking water then they quickly made a run for it then as they were running Jack sees the 3rd place family making a run for it. Jack yells, "HURRY".

Although they won 2nd place Jack still knows they didn’t lose, while they were waiting Jack saw Michael and his family running to the finish line then they made it Jack went to Michael and said, “Hey, what place did you guys win?” &nbsp;Michael said, “Wait let me catch a breath.” &nbsp;Jack said, “ok.” &nbsp;While Michael was taking big breaths and drinking lots of water Jack saw that it stopped raining.&nbsp; Then Jack went to his mom and dad while Michael went to Jack and said, “ We won 4th place. What place did you win?”&nbsp; Jack said.“We won 2nd place.”&nbsp; Michael said, “what lucky at least you guys won a free pass to Universal Studios, we won nothing.”&nbsp; The next morning they all woke and went to Universal Studios. They had an amazing time there and went on all of the rides. At the end even though they didn’t win the race, they still knew that they didn’t lose and had so much fun and couldn’t wait for the next adventure like this. &nbsp;&nbsp;The End&nbsp; Written by, David Ipchyan

Ten minutes later Jack’s mom said, “I think we could go home now,” so then they got everything and got in the car and went home. While they were driving home Jack's mom said to Jack, “Remember tomorrow we are starting the race so we can win and that we can get the pass to Disneyland and win 1st place.”&nbsp; When they got home Jack went and started packing his backpack with water, and snacks, after that he said to his mom that he was tired and was going to bed. The next morning Jack woke up and went downstairs. He saw his mom and dad picking up all kinds of things like sweaters, jackets, snacks, and water.&nbsp; So later that day Jack's Dad said, “Jack come we are leaving,”&nbsp; Jack said, “ok coming.” &nbsp;So when they were on the way to the start of the hike, they saw Michael and his mom and dad going to the mountain. They all said Hi then&nbsp; Jack's mom said, “I didn’t know they were competing in the race.” &nbsp;So they got to the mountain and started hiking to the top. As they were hiking they saw lots of more cars coming in the race to the top of the mountain.&nbsp; Then Jack's mom said, “look at the sky, it looks like it's going to rain.”&nbsp; As they were getting higher and higher throughout the mountain it started to sprinkle, as they were getting higher and higher it started to pour and get windy. They saw that one family passed them and they were now in 2nd place.&nbsp; Then they heard something Jack said, “what was that,”&nbsp; Jack's Dad said, “I don't know it sounded like a tree fell,”&nbsp; Then they saw something Jack yells, “MUDSLIDE MOM WATCH OUT.” Jack's mom said, “what where?” &nbsp;Then she sees a huge mudslide coming down the mountain Jack and his Dad went the other way as Jack's mom is yelling she runs down the mountain and the mudslide follows her down the mountain, then Jack sees his mom running down the mountain.&nbsp;While Jack’s mom is still running down the mountain, Jack sees the moment he will never in his whole life his mom gets hit by the slide.&nbsp;
