Learning Advance 2022

The last day! Wish we could stay here a little longer but I miss my own bed.

On future PLP field studies, I look forward to using the knowledge that I gained on this trip to further my learning on future field studies.

This learning rotation, we did shelter building. This knowledge is very important to have in case you actually get lost in the wilderness and are in need of a shelter to spend the night in or protect yourself from a storm. We also learned how important seeking high ground is. During this learning rotation I realized how building things is a great team building activity.

Laser tag was super fun. Had been looking forward to this for the whole trip and it was a lot better and more fun than I had expected it to be! It was a great activity for teamwork too.

I feel like my DI team didn’t work as well and efficiently together during the trip, since there were so many distractions and so much stuff to do, that we got carried away either looking out the window or stepping outside to take in the fresh air, that we kind of lost track of what we were supposed to be doing. Yes, we did make a lot of progress but I feel that we work better when we’re at school, rather than a beautiful lake retreat (or advance).

I may not be Da Vinci but I’m excited for laser tag because it is laser tag.

I feel like a field study is a good opportunity to learn some skills about teamwork.

One place I found amazingly beautiful so far at Loon Lake is the lounges at the Yew and Arbutus buildings because they are very well built and very comfortable.

I just saw it as a great opportunity to take a picture. It looked nice and I thought it would make a nice photo. I was right!
