Southern colonies are usually warm in the summer and winters are mild.

Southern colonies have a crop called indigo unlike the other colonies and is good for growing rice.<br/>

Tobacco and cotton is another very popular crop that a lot of people sell to become rich.

Some of the reasons for founding the Southern Colonies is unlike any other colony the Southern Colonies makes the most money that is one reason, to make money.

Another reason is that they wanted to keep Spanish troops from moving North from Florida so that was the perfect place. 

The last reason is that some wealthy British men wanted to help poor people avoid going to debtor's prison.

Southern colonies have plantations unlike the other colonies. They also have cash crops such as tobacco and rice, and they lumber. To make money they also cut down forests and trade goods.
