The walking stick’s size ranges from less then 1 inch to over 1 foot in length. The walking stick also has built in camouflage and appears to look like part of the plant. It has three body parts. They are the head, thorax and abdomen.

The walking stick has incomplete metamorphosis. It has three stages of development. The stages are egg, nymph and adult.
