My name is Zen. I am currently 8 years old  and I live in Rochester, NY. Many people are interested to know what my hobbies include cleaning the house,playing video games and washing the dishes. Most of the time I surround myself with the people I care a lot about. Some of those special people are my family and friends I particularly enjoy writing about insects.

Cicada’s life cycle is egg, nymph and adult. It is incomplete metamorphosis because it has three stages. Some broods live in the ground for 17 years.

Cicada’s are solitary insects. A solitary insect lives in a pair or by itself.

You can hear the cicada’s song from up to half a mile away and they only sing during the day.

The cicada makes the loudest sound of any insect there are approximately 2,500 cicada<br/>species in the world.

Cicada’s are found in North America and throughout other parts of the world.

The three body parts of the cicada are head, thorax and abdomen. Also, the cicada has six legs and an exoskeleton.
