The three body parts of the cicada are head, thorax and abdomen. Also, the cicada has six legs and an exoskeleton.
Life Cycle
Cicada’s life cycle is egg, nymph and adult. It is incomplete metamorphosis because it has three stages. Some broods live in the ground for 17 years.
Social or Solitary
Cicada’s are solitary insects. A solitary insect lives in a pair or by itself.
Fun Fact
You can hear the cicada’s song from up to half a mile away and they only sing during the day.

species in the world.
