A grasshopper has three main body parts. The three main body parts are the head, thorax and abdomen. It has an exoskeleton, 6 legs, antenna and wings. They have large back legs to help them jump. They can jump 20 times their body length.
Life Cycle
The grasshopper goes through incomplete metamorphosis. The stage starts with an egg, then hatches into a nymph then grows into an
adult.

Grasshoppers are solitary insects. They only meet to make other grasshoppers.

Grasshoppers are foes because they destroy crops. Farmers don’t like grasshoppers because they eat their valuable crops.
