Hose fly

The Horse fly goes through complete metamorphosis. It has four stages of development. They are the egg, larva, pupae and adult.

The horsefly is a solitary insect.  It lives alone.  

My name is Jacqueline Thompson.  I am 8 years old.  I am in second grade.  I am a girl.  I live in the city of Rochester, New York.  I have ten people in my family.  I like to go camping.  I like camping because I like the water park.  

Horse  Flies live near areas that contain water and live stock.

The horse fly has 3 body parts. They are the head, thorax and abdomen.  They have two pairs of wings and 3 pairs of legs.

A horsefly can go inside of your skin.  It is a foe.

A horsefly can make an animal bleed.  Their eyes may be a bit mesmerizing.  They appear in beautiful shades of greens and ambers and even red.  They often have shapes in them.
