The road trip was long and boring. I was counting how many cars I saw, I was at 2,537 when I saw a glimpse of color. I stared out the window and saw the campsite approaching. I felt relieved that I could get out of this car. Then at that moment, it started to rain.
“ oh, no!” I say. “It's raining! How will we set up our tent in this weather?“The next hotel is 70 miles away!” I walk out into the pouring rain, look around and see the perfect campsite! I race back to the car and say “look at that little spot under the trees!!” My dad looks at it for a minute and then takes a picture with the old, dusty, camera captioning it “before.” Dad grabs the tent supplies and gets to work immediately. Michelle, can you help me? Said, dad.
Mom starts to help him while I wander off into the woods. There were so many amazing colors! Reddish brown, yellowish green, greenish orange, and orangish red and they were everywhere like swirls of my mom's painting back home! without realizing how far into the woods I was, I Climbed a tree to see all the amazing colors, and then I saw my parents setting up the tent, so I immediately climbed down the tree, and the second my feet were supposed to hit the ground they didn’t. falling and falling Into this pit of doom I look up to see a bluish, pinkish, red color and in the middle of it was black pitch black.
it was like a tornado spinning and spnning! What would happen to me? Am I going to die?! I looked down finally seeing the ground. When I woke up I was surrounded by creatures speaking odd languages. Seadack inomi? One of them said. then I started screaming

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!! I was flailing trying to get out of their grip. after they caught me,
They held me still after they tied my feet together they just left.
After about 5 minutes they brought me some soup. I ate it, it was made with apples. It was not sweet, it tasted like Brussel sprouts mixed with apples. It was disgusting! was It a soup of poison? After they walked away, I spat it out thinking I’d barf.
I hoisted myself up startled by a figure approaching. I fell on my back playing dead I squinted to try to see all through
Fog. Once the fog cleared I saw this creature was much less scary than the others Its cheeks were pinkish but, the rest of It was blue and It moved as a fish swims. It was amazing! It looked down at me and I sat up to get a better look but, I seemed to startle it skittered away and jumped in the water the second it hit the water Its true form shone through. It had white hair and Its face was a beautiful tanned color I stared in awe she looked as if she was
made of light and water she was so beautiful. Then I remembered I had my mythical creatures book In my bag and I grabbed It and tried to find her after looking for what seemed like forever I found ther and all the other ones she was called inomi wait I had heard one of the others say that maybe they imprisoned her! I continued reading it says she knows English and commonly uses It to write notes to humans she can’t speak It though.
How am I supposed to write to her I failed spelling! At least there were sticks at the top of the hill. Crawling up the hill was hot, sweaty, and hard! And I could feel my lips pressing together and before I knew it I was muttering to myself .. Snap out of It! I told myself. I rushed to the top of the hill
and the swirls of light found me immediately made me want to turn around. The light was burning at my neck, making me feel unsafe like one million eyes were watching me. I found It impossible not to turn but, remembering the sticks I resisted
Now not only my neck was burning. It feels like the sun wants me. I can’t hold back. The last rays of the setting sun were gone I roll down to the lake and into the water feeling the pain disappear the crystal clear water was so beautiful I swam with the waves feeling the spirits swim with me. I crawled out of the water and felt cold but, I was relieved That I Didn’t stay. Inomi walked up to me and handed me a stick “feeseck” she said and pointed to the forest across the field. How did I not see that!!! I slithered to her side and wrote “hi I am Emily and I am from earth. Can you help me?” “Earth,” I say.
Eeeaaarrshhh she says back. “No.” I scribble “earth”
I repeat. “This Is,” she wrote “fehai.”
“feh-shai,” she says. “Fesh-ai,” I repeat. She shakes her head
“feh-shai,” she says louder. I show her a picture of earth from my book. She makes an astonishing face and wrights “earth?”
I nod.
Without realizing I started to grin. Feeling a lightness in my chest. And I imagined her helping me get home.
That could work; I’m getting home! The sun was setting; the red sky was blending into the purple of the night
Will she think I am dumb If I tell her? …no…….yes?... It doesn’t matter. I will get home! I walked up to her and said; can you help me get home? She cocked her head.
Oh, right you don’t talk. I crawled over to the stick, found a patch of dirt, and started writing we pondered over how to get me home.
