Brief overview
First, Colonists arrive in the new land. There were disagreements and they started the French And Indian War. Next, the British King instituted taxes upon the colonies. This payed the debt when he kept them safe. Finally, the British and the Colonists went to war, hence the American Revolution.

The Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre started small. A British redcoat stood guard in front of the custom house when a boy ran by shouting insults at him. The British redcoat hit the boy with a musket and the boy ran away screaming and crying. Then, the boy came back with friends who threw snowballs with bits of ice or oysters at the guard. After that, a crowd gathered and men ran around the streets screaming,"Town-born turn out!" Suddenly someone smashed a club across Prestons arm. Finally, soldiers shot into the crowd and killed five men.

4.out of all the punishments I have told you about, the most common punishment, was being hung from the liberty tree

Time For Tea!
The Boston Tea Party occurred on December 16th 1773 after the Townshend Act pass which was taxing tea, glass, paint, and paper in the colonies. There were also other taxes but that's for the next chapter (Page 7) . Anyway, before I end this chapter, I want to back up to October 25, 1760 when King George III ascends toward the throne and becomes king.
