OBSERVING ICE CUBES

Firstly, we observed an ice cube in some hot water.

we used a thermometer to measure the temperature

We took note every 30 seconds for 2 minutes the change in temperature of the water and state of the ice cube itself.

Then we did the same experiment with a variety of materials insulating/covering the cup
Cotton wool
Tin foil
J cloth

We recorded our observations.


Which one do you think retained heat the best ?.....

tinfoil ?

cloth?

cotton wool?

or could it be the cup itself?

It was the Tinfoil!
