OBJECTIVE

The library’s objective is to support and enrich the educational program of Eton Academy. To advance this goal, the library will provide a wide range of materials in both print and nonprint formats with varying levels of difficulty, with consideration for diversity of appeal, with different views, and with a diversity of learning styles. Provide materials and resources to help support classroom instruction such as modeling strategies and genres, visuals, research skills, technology (QR codes, databases, etc.), building life-long readers and researchers who know how to gather information, digital detectives (enjoying books, awareness of genres, using print and digital media).

Welcome to the Eton Academy Libraries!

I am Michelle Levy, your friendly school librarian! I have been the Eton Academy Librarian since 2006.

I have a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University.

I am here to collaborate with you on all of your educational, curricular, informational, and recreational needs. What does that mean? It means I am here to help you and your students. I am just a phone call (x118) or email away. mlevy@etonacademy.org

7:30 -8:15 - MS Morning Care (auditorium or gym)
1st hour - US Class in room 15
2nd hour - Library Work
3rd hour - Library Work
4th hour - Library Work
5th hour - Lunch/Activity Duty
6th hour - Library Work
7th hour - LS Library
8th hour - LS Library

Students MUST have a pass
to come to the library.

If I am with a class, I most likely will not be able to assist students at that time.

As you walk into the room, you'll see the closets (wooden doors on the left) and cabinets (metal doors on the right).

On the left-hand side, after the closets, is a file cabinet with Spell IT! activities for each unit.

To your right are the leveled books for guided reading. The boxes on the right side are in F&P reading level order, then by title.

On the left side, are the overflow shelves. They are alphabetical by title. And at the very end are the non-leveled titles, also in alphabetical order by title.

Behind you, are the teacher book resources.
