Learning Goal
Learning goals are applicable to both overall and specific expectations. Ex. unit plan & lesson for the day
Use verbs from specific expectation to create goals. "I am learning to..." helps with identifying the goal.
Working backwards on a unit will help teachers align their learning goals with expectations within the curriculum.
Success Criteria
Helps the student know how to be successful
Teachers should use student friendly language so they can comprehend their instructions
Combined with self-assessment, students will understand their progress using a success criteria. This allows them to ask for help and where they can improve
