Little Timmy is young and not so bright. He lives with his parents in Ohio with his new pet Elephant Doug, who he just recently adopted after begging his parents over and over again. Little Timmy and Doug quickly became best friends. However, Doug soon grew as big as their kitchen. Now that he was too big to fit in the house, Little Timmy decided to keep Doug in the front yard. Doug developed a habit of chasing squirrels like a dog now that he stayed in the front yard, but luckily, Little Timmy put Doug on a leash so he couldn’t get away.
One Day Little Timmy woke up, rubbed his eyes, dragged himself outside to check on Doug. But as he opened the door, he saw that his front yard was empty! His heart stopped as fast as lighting with the realization of how terrible this situation truly is. He immediately sprinted around town.
“Doug, where are you!?” he shouted as he ran around the street.
He looked around, and couldn’t believe his eyes. Doug the Elephant was stuck in a tree, just like a cat. Little Timmy assumed that Doug had escaped his leash and chased a squirrel up the tree.

“This is terrible,” Little Timmy thought to himself.
He thought there wouldn’t be a way to get Doug down because the tree towered over him. He had no idea what he would do to get Doug down.

Little Timmy then had the thought to grab a ladder from his dad’s garage. He dragged it up to the tree that was like a skyscraper. But the top was still a long ways up.
He hollered up to Doug, “Don’t worry, I’ll find another way to get you down!” Little Timmy realized that he needed something taller and more steady to reach up to the top of the mile-high tree.
“What would be tall enough to get Doug down?” he thought to himself, “Oh I know! I’ll use daddy's forklift!”

Little Timmy ran back to grab the forklift. The forklift rumbles to life, and Little Timmy drives it over to the tree like a professional. He doesn’t knock into anything because he always watches his dad drive it, and has always wanted to try it out. Little Timmy felt like a god among men.
He takes it up to the tree, and the forklift is just a few feet away from the top. He thinks to himself that getting up there isn’t the right technique.
“Cmon, Cmon, there has to be something I can do!” Little Timmy mumbles to himself.
