Make loads of money from all farming you can do with the South's great soil unlike New England's rocky soil. Speaking of soil there's lots of $$$ to make from all the lumber covering the South. Just outside all the forest there's all this ocean perfect for making even more $$$ from shipping. Whats in oceans? Lots of fish! Fishing is another way to make $$$.

Why the Southern colonies where founded

There are many reasons for founding. One is it is a safe place for Catholics. If you are Catholic this is a great place for you don't worry about the Quakers in the South unlike the Middle colonies! Another reason is for debtors. Rather then sending debtors to jail King George II would send them to the South for a new start so if you owe money to the King - come to the South.

Geography

The South is know for its great geography. Its steamy summers are great for growing crops such as indigo, cotton and tobacco. You don't have to worry about your crops dying in the South because of is mild winters and humidity unlike cold New England short growing seasons. The lush forest is great for hunting.

Slavery

Having so much land you'll need a lot of people to farm it. Help is available to in the South - slavery is LEGAL. Large plantations can't exist without the help of this labor.
