So now , that you know what you are going to learn about let’s hop in. Long ago people used to be able to see the Milky Way from the sky. In greek, the name came from galaxy kyklos (ki- klo-s) or the Milky Way circle. The latin name is road of milk.

The fourth Closest galaxy is the Milky Way galaxy. The Second is cunis major dwarf. The third is Virgo stellar stream. The fourth is sprite dwarf elliptical . Astronomers say they have found evidence for the first time that a planet was orbiting a star outside our Milky Way galaxy.
The Milky Way looks like a spiral from above. the center looks like a bar. it is called a barred spiral. It is shaped like a spinning pinwheel from the side. It looks like a fried egg. The four main galaxies reach out about 80 light years that means 40 feet from the center.
