Key Dates for the Summer Term
On Sunday 7th May, our dancers will be involved in the Mass Dance Festival in the Market Square from 1:45pm. Come and support.
Our award winning choir will be joining two others for an evening raising money for a good cause on Friday 19th May at 7pm. Click on the link for more information about how to get tickets.
Children can wear red, white and blue to school on Friday 5th May.
Year 4 will entertain and enlighten their parents and carers with an assembly all about the Vikings on Wednesday 24th May at 9:15am.
Remember that we have an additional bank holiday on Monday 8th May for the Coronation.
Year 6 SATs week - Tuesday 9th May to Friday 12th May
It is vital that all Year 6 pupils attend for the whole week. Due to the additional bank holiday, tests will continue until Friday lunchtime this year.
They will then return on Thursday 25th May with the rig to take the Year 6 Leavers' photograph only.

We break up for the summer half term holiday on Friday 26th May. Please note that school is closed on Monday 5th June as this is a professional development day.
Our Sports Day is on Friday 23rd June this year. Reception, Years 1, 2 and 3 will be on Abbey field in the morning and Years 4, 5 and 6 will begin arriving on the field around 12:15pm.
Look out for information about a course for parents / carers run 1 day per week x4 around family first aid - starts 8th June.
Parents and carers you are invited into school between 3:15 and 5:00pm on Monday 12th June to see your child's work. Feel free to have your child with you to talk about what they are learning and are proud of.
Our Year 6 pupils set off for their 2 night / 3 day residential visit on Friday 16th June.
Our fabulous cast of performers will be showcasing their talents and hard work on the evening of Wednesday 21st June.

We are again involved in the Carnival on Saturday 24th June so please come along and support.
If you have a child starting school at Reid Street in September, please attend one of the two Induction Events on either the morning of Monday 26th or Tuesday 27th June.
Year 6 pupils have a chance to visit their secondary schools schools for two transition days on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th June.
Our amazing choir will yet again be performing at the Proms in the Park event so come along and enjoy on Sunday 2nd July.
We will be supporting the NHS 75th birthday events with our own sponsored 1,000 miles during the week beginning 3rd July.
In the long held tradition, Year 6 pupils will perform a Leavers' Assembly for their parents / carers on the evening of Thursday 13th July.
