Hello! My name is Mrs Hancock and I am the Key Stage 2 Lead and part of the Year 6 team. I have worked at Reid Street for over 16 years - I have even worked with two people I have taught!
I absolutely love this school and teaching.
When I am not in school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and going on long walks in the countryside. I have just started running again and plan to do the next Great North Run which will be my 8th half marathon. Hopefully, I will run it with my eldest daughter. A passion of mine is reading - I have been known to read a book in a day!
Hi, I'm Mrs Perry and I work in Year 6. One of my favourite parts of my job is leading music in school. I have enjoyed playing piano and flute since I was a child and I hope to instill the same passion and enthusiasm I have for music into the lives of the children in our school.
When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and our two cats. I also love visiting Seahouses and spending time on the beach.
Hi, I am Mr Hughes and I am delighted to have joined the year 6 team this year as a class teacher. Last year my time was split between teaching in year 4 in the afternoons and doing maths tutoring in the mornings, as well as lots of other teaching across the school. This was brilliant because I got to work through mathematical problems with children and I really learned a lot about how to help children to learn well, and how different children might benefit from different approaches. I love it when a child has a sudden 'eureka' moment! I am super excited to have joined the year 6 team.

At home, I am kept on my toes by my two teenage daughters and my crazy border collie. I love playing my violin (and any music in general really) and in the summer we go away to music festivals in a camper van that my wife - also a teacher - converted in her spare time!
Hi, I'm Miss Dunn and I am the Teaching Assistant for Year 6. I have been part of the Reid Street family for quite a few years now, starting out as a parent helper and I never left!
When not in work, I enjoy eating out with friends, walking and watching great TV. I also love holidays and time away with family and friends.
Hi. My name is Miss Cooper and I am a Classroom Assistant in Year 6. My job is rewarding and I love to see the children progress.
I am creative and love helping with the displays around the school. In my spare time, I enjoy days out with my family, watching films and travelling.
