Valentine's Day Activity Book

There are many people who have mixed feelings about Valentine's Day. Some people really like Valentine's Day while others don't. Just like many of the people who enjoy Valentine's Day, I look forward to it every year!

Of course the obvious meaning of Valentine's Day is love, but it is also a holiday that means much more. Valentine's Day is about finding ways to make people smile and show that you care. It is about giving to people and bringing joy to their day! 

This book will help walk you through different activities you can participate in during this time of year. Not only will this activity book entertain you, but it will also give you ideas on how to celebrate Valentine's Day. This book will also provide many ideas on what to give too many different people on Valentine's Day. You can give to anyone you want on Valentine's Day such as your parents, siblings, friends, or teachers! No matter what you are giving someone, it is going to put a smile on their face! It's the thought that counts!

Ingredients - 1 ½&nbsp;cups&nbsp;butter, softened - 2&nbsp;cups&nbsp;white sugar - 4&nbsp;eggs - 1&nbsp;teaspoon&nbsp;vanilla extract - 5&nbsp;cups&nbsp;all-purpose flour - 2&nbsp;teaspoons&nbsp;baking powder - 1&nbsp;teaspoon&nbsp;salt

Directions - Cream together butter and sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt. Cover, and chill dough for at least 1 hour (or overnight). - Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). - Lightly dust a work surface with flour. Roll out dough to 1/4 to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into shapes with any cookie cutter. Place cookies 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheets. - Bake in the preheated oven until cookies are lightly browned, 6 to 8 minutes. Carefully transfer cookies to a wire rack and cool completely before decorating.

Baking is one of my favorite holiday traditions! This is a tradition that can be done for all holidays, you just have to change the theme! My family almost always makes themed sugar cookies, but you can bake many other things too! Some other desserts you can bake are cakes, cupcakes, brownies, or cake pops! Not only is it a fun activity to do, but it also creates an inexpensive gift to give to someone! 

Valentine's cards and boxes is one of my favorite Valentine's Day traditions! All throughout elementary school, this was a tradition I looked forward to in class every year! I loved going to the store and picking out valentines cards. I enjoyed decorating my Valentine's box with my mom every year. This is a tradition I want to carry on. Not only can this be done in the classroom, but this can be done with teams, jobs, etc. Such a small simple thing can show someone you care. By doing this, kindness and joy is being spread. You can do this activity anywhere!

Puzzles are a fun way to celebrate Valentine's Day! Not only are these fun, but they bring people together. They can be worked on individually or as a group. Not only is this a great way to celebrate Valentine's Day, but it gets students to think and improve teamwork skills!

Coloring sheets are a fun activity to do for Valentine's Day! There are many different options for coloring sheets and they are time consuming. Coloring sheets are also a great activity for relieving stress. This is a great self awareness activity for people. Coloring sheets allow for self expression and helps bring people together! 

A kindness countdown is a great way to challenge people to spread joy and kindness! As far as using this in the classroom, you could use this to encourage students to treat each other respectfully. This could be used as a way for students to earn rewards in the classroom. In general, this is a great and creative way to encourage people to brighten other peoples day!
