ECOLOGICAL PROBLEM IN YOUR AREA

Students in national teams brainstormed and researched some ecological problems. They chose one or two problems they wanted to present to other countries. Using different tools like PowerPoint, Genially, Biteable they prepared presentations of the problems which were presented during econferenced and placed on etwinning.
What problems did they notice?
Warsaw/Poland - smog, rubbish and river pollution
Liberec/the Czech Republic - lack of underground water and greenhouse pollution because of Polish mine Turów
Velika Dolina/Slovenia - heated water from the hydroelectric power plant, nad radioactive waste from the nearby nuclear powerplant
Giffoni Valle Piana/Italy - waste

ECONFERENCES

Students from each country learned about ecological problems of their partner countries.

Next we held econferences to discuss the problems. During econferences students presented their ecological problems and next discussed following questions:
1.     Is this the only ecological problem in your area?
2.     Present few ideas about what can be done about the problem of you partner country.
3.     Do you have similar ecological problems? If yes, talk about them shortly.
4.     Discuss the differences in the ecological problems in your area and area of your partner country?

PROJECT BASED LEARNING

One of the goals of our Erasmus project are innovative solutions. The plan was to work on using PBL method during the teachers training course during Polish mobility and then put it in practice during workshops with stiudents. Coronavirus changed our plans but we didn't give up. We decided to do it online. We had a teachers workshop during which we discussed the PBL and in each country we held a project based learning activity to complete our project plan.
