Through The ForestLoading...
By Jazmin Mendez and Carlos VasquezSpirit lives on a hill so low, it touched the forest through the roots like a coffin. Spirit’s running around having fun and neighing to the tree. The tree then waved hello with it’s leafy branches. Spirit then looks to the forest and sighs.
“I wish that I could go and explore.” Spirit spoke sadly. “Wait! I can!,” he spoke as he leaped with joy.
Then Spirit starts walking into the forest. He then starts to get worried. He starts to shiver just as a sharp breeze passes by. Spirit trembles as he wanders around in the forest.

His feet crunched over the leaves as he strides through the forest. He then hears something coming from the bush.
“Oh no!” He said with fear, “I am going to be feast for a rattlesnake! I should have stayed with mom. I should've never left her side. Now I am lost and I am going to be dinner for a rattlesnake!” he said as water trickled down his face.

He picked up the sound of something coming through the bush. It was coming out slowly. Spirit hurried to lock his eyes away. When he opens them all he sees is a baby bunny. The baby bunny was looking at him all delighted.
“Hello? My name is u-um-mm . . . Spirit?,”he said softly.
“Nice to meet you Spirit! My name is Thumper.,” said the baby bunny.
The baby bunny then noticed water trickling down his cheek. Thumper knew that it was not raining.

Spirit cried wondering if he would ever see his mother again. Thumper heard his sobbing and was wondering why Spirit was crying.
“Why are you crying, what happened?”, asked Thumper nervously.
Spirit told the baby bunny that he left his mom because he wanted to explore. When he went out into the forest he got lost.

Thumper told him that he saw a horse at a hill nearby, but the hill was near a habitat for a snake. After Spirit talked with Thumper they became friends then he took a minute to think.
Spirit thought to himself, ”Next time, I am going to listen to mom and become a better horse.”
Spirit and Thumper got up, determined to find Spirit's mom and tell her that he was going to change, and change for the better.
