The Middle Colony has rich soil [unlike New England with rocky soil], rivers, copper, iron, and forest. Also the Middle Colony had cold winters and hot summers. Unlike the Southern Colony there is not very many mosquitoes.

Reasons for Founding

Some of the reasons for founding are religious tolerance. Also the Butch wanted a fur trading post, and the English wanted a new trading routes. One more reason is a safe place for Quakers to live.
