Pilot Darrell's Square:

In Pilot darrell's square there is still a family living there so you can't go inside but this place was the first home owned by a black person in Bermuda. The wall are grey and there is a brick driveway and you can notice it by it's diaspora trail plaque

Wow! James Darrell was a pilot of a huge ship he managed to use his knowledge of the reefs of Bermuda to navigate his way to land. Ships back then were made of wood so if you hit a reef your ship would sink and it would be game over.

St. Peter's Church

St. Peter's Church is another diaspora trail site. It has cedar doors and beams and the walls are made of limestone, it has a organ and the pope's chair inside. outside there is a graveyard all around the church we also saw the tucker's family vault. beside the graveyard for the white people there is a graveyard for slaves

Tucker's House Bermuda

The Different Rooms in Tuckers House- The Bedchamber, The Drawing Room, The Entrance Hall, The Nursery and The Kitchen.
Joseph Hayne Rainey-
After the end of the civil war in 1860 the Rainey's took their savings from Bermuda and returned to Charleston. Shortly before he died of congestive fever on August 1, 1887 he and his wife had opened a millinery shop in George town.
St.George Tucker- 1752 - 1827
Nathaniel Tucker- 1807
Frances Tucker- 1740 - 1825
Tucker's House is made out of cedar beams and limestone Blocks.
Tucker's House is located on 5 Water Street, St. George's, Bermuda.
The reason that the street is named Water Street is because you use to be able to see the waterside in front of Tucker's House.

Bermuda Heritage Museum

The Bermuda Heritage Museum is located on 29 Water Street, St. Georges, Bermuda. The Bermuda Heritage Museum use to be called the Samaritan Lodge. A society formed in the 1800s to help blacks after they were set free from slavery in 1834. It tells you about the lifes of different blacks and how they where treated.
