Poetry was always a thing that I had mixed opinions about. Sometimes I like it, and some times I hate it. This project showed me the fun side of poetry. We got to make our own poems. Read through some other ones. Act like sea monsters (you dont wanna know). Meet more people, and present our poetry to our parents. This project showed me that poetry can be fun and exciting. Even though I had a really good experience with poetry throughout this project, I still have mixed opinions about it. When I write poetry, I like to write it about any topic, not just one specific topic for all poems. When I write poetry, I like to write about other experiences that I have had, my favourite activities, school, animals and more. Here is a video with more about me!

Life is Like Swimming
Life is like swimming.
The coaches are your parents, giving you instructions, and telling you how you could improve.
The blocks are the start of a new goal
The race is how you move towards achieving the goal.
The other swimmers are obstacles, stopping you from winning.
Your teammates are your friends, cheering you on as you reach towards your goal.
The end of the race is the finish. That goal you started by taking off from the block has come to a close.

They took it in the night
Late that night they took
One of my favourite things
In the whole wide world.
They came quietly
Not making a single sound
Quiet as a mouse.
Then the dog arose
They still managed to get it
Cause it wasnt there.
Wasnt on the shelf
Where it normally was kept
Wasnt anywhere.
